Changing Tranny Fluid
Hi, I need to change the tranny fluid in my 2000 Grand Caravan.
I need some help on where to drain (do i just remove the sump tray) and where to top up.
I have all the parts and ready to go.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

If you've already purchased the gasket and filter kit, then go ahead and lift her up. Normally a fluid change means dropping the pan, changing the filter(located inside the pan), remove old gasket material, replace gasket, reinstall pan, refill at the dipstick tube. Make sure you use the correct chrysler fluid and do not overfill. After you have it topped up, warm it up and shift it a few times, then without shutting it down check the level and add more fluid as necessary.
Hope that helps.

Just changed the tranny oil and filter in my 01 Grand Caravan. It was shifting fine before I changed it and I'm sure the filter is seated with o-ring in place but now it really downshifts hard. All I did was change the fluid - never touched the transmission or adjusted anything. Any ideas?
