Simple RKE question

Everyone,
I have what I think is a simple RKE question:
Does the FCC code for the receiver (mine is GQ43V10R) and the FOB need to match? I have lost the FOBs for mine, but most sold on the WWW use the code GQ43V7T. I know the "R" and "T" is for "receiver" and "transmitter", but what about the difference between "7" and "10".
Thanks and if you happen to know from your own vehicles with working RKEs, do the two match?
