Default car stalling out

I have a 2006 grand caravan it has been stalling out on my wife. Th other week the check engine light came on for a couple of day and then went off. the Sunday it came back on and i had the code pulled (p0404). The mechanic that pulled the code said o try and change the plugs and wires first since it has 69,000 mile and never changed them. So I changd them last night. took it for a test drive and everything seamed fine. This morning she said it stalled on her twice on the way to work. I have a feeling that it is the EGR but want to make sure before i spend the $100.

According to the link below the EGR is at fault.

http://www.allpar.com/fix/computer-codes.html

Using some spray carb/throttle body cleaner shot directly into the intake while the engine is running can help cold stalling problems by cleaning the tips of the injectors and the backs of the intake valves. It might take a couple of cans and don't mind the white smoke. If you light the CEL just disconnect the battery for a few minutes and it will go away.
Hot stalling is more likely a mechanical problem vs one that can be fixed by cleaners but maybe the EGR can be bench cleaned. An engine that never gets run hard is a prime candidate for excessive carbon buildup.
A wide open blast up some interstate on ramps is good clean fun and keeps combustion chambers and the internals of the engine cleaner.

Thanks for the link.

I have notice that since the stalling started that while driving down the road it seems like there is some kind of slippage (trans?). I dont think there is any trans problem thou. She did not say if the light came back on this morning.

Thanks again for the link.
