I have a dodge 2001 grand caravan sports. i ended up with check engine light on took to autozone and said it was radator relay switch the one that in front of the grill and radiator, it bolted to the frame and has like littl roun piece on top in a square fomation.

well the one mecahnice check it out and sid yes it that or the computer modular. so since i had the high fan running he said it cold out side you wont need it since there 2 fans and i belive the fan one on the low speed or temp is the one stop wokring. well i was looking for pirce pricing. so next thing i having a loiud rattling noise and took it over there and he said it was the fan assembly fan had a big crack. so he replace that that one was the one that had the work and high tempo one.

so i said since you putting this on go ahead and put a new thermo static in and do a flush of the radiator. so everything be clean. so he did and took it off and i turn the air on and it blow out warm air and i just had my air cond did 3 yrs ago. so buut then it seem when i went down the raod the air stated to work again.

so the next day went to the bank and got tinot the line and it stop blowing cool air out and then the next thing was i heard a ting and i see the temp gaug on and turn all the way on high, so i turn engine off and then i told the drive guy i move it just a second my gauge too high. so then i move it real quick and turn it off again. and then sat cars were behind me so i move one more time and then i keep it off, i even try to ruin the heater and nothing, i knoew thew old trick of rada over heats turn the heater on.

well they took it back to the place i had work on it, then the one that fix my care he took a leave absent, so somoen else look at said well look at tomrrow.

so he call and saud both fans dont work and i mnention the work that was already done he said he check. so he said that relay switch so i went and got the part and it wasn ti.

they said nothing on the new part are bad and said they replace the sensory cooling unit and still, so they are lost and then the last thing they said computre modular, so what do you think guys???? i heqard they run over 300.00 and i said what about a used one and he said well we have a van out her and we can see if that it. so that more labor and i called auto zones they never heard of that doing the van of the radiator. so they guy said when we gwet back ion wiull see if it works, but the autozone said you have to have code to match it and you cant just put anone on there is this true??

then he got quite and said take it to the dealer. then said unless you want to keep racking up the labor stuff, i said how much is it now and he said 300.00 that alot of money and not know what the problem is.... plz help guys my car never over heated till they di this extra stuff.......... thanks ang

 

sorry guys if you read my stuff and have alot errors on spelling or extra words. it just i was tired and frustrating, that i was in a hurry if any question dont hesitate to ask, hope to hear from you all im in a deserate need of help. i trying to find what a computer modular when there going bad and if over heating can be caused by that?? thank you, ang
