popping fuses? 2000 Caravan...

I recently had the limp mode fiasco 100 miles from home. I now have a fuse problem. I have two fuses that keep popping, the panel illumination fuse under dash, entire guage panel in the dark, and the memory IOD fuse under the hood. Both are #10 fuses.
I checked all wiring and no battery corrosion, frayed wires or broken ground straps....
I unhooked battery overnight, checked everything out that I could think of and ordered a Equus 3130 obdII scanner awaiting it for my tool box.
Have owned the van for about 6 years, maintance has been kept up on it and I have 250,000 miles on it and would like to finish it to 300,000. Transmission was replaced at 150,000 by previous owner, changed both speed sensors two days ago. I drove it about 5 miles after replacing the sensors and it went back into limp mode on the 5th mile. I have ordered a solenoid pack and will be changing that soon, fluid and filter changed and looked good.
Could the solenoid pack be causing the fuses to pop?
Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't think so.
The fuse problem is almost surely an intermittent short to ground that's going to be hard to find.
This link is to a short circuit detector.I've never used one but I've heard that they do work so maybe this'll help.
