Default 1999 Dodge Caravan Jerks when driving

Our 1999 dodge caravan jerks frequently when I am driving, It almost feels like it is going to stall- also the speedo acts crazy! My mechanic thinks it might be the speed sensor? Any ideas, please help!

Tell your mechanic to stop guessing and thinking n ask him to diagnose the problem ......could be so many things.....be more precise

Check engine light on?
Your engine??
What speed?
What weather?

Default 1999 caravan that jerks terribly

The check engine light is on- it says to service engine soon. but sometimes it will go off for about 10 minutes then come on again and stay on for the rest of the day. I have a 3.3 v-6 engine. When i first start up the van it will act fine ,then 20 minutes into driving it will start the jerking thing. It jerks at any speed and does it every minute while i am driving, does not matter how fast or how slow i am going. but it jerks really bad going up hills. It is very hesitant and acts like it wants to stall. It does this in any type of weather. My van was plugged into computer and it was reading about 4 codes all in the 700's. My mechanic told me these were all transmission codes. He said that the speed sensor could be doing all of this. My van has 107,000 miles, about 3 months ago it went to the transmission shop because it would not shift out of second gear-but that was fixed it was the electrical harness. So what do you think- speed sensor or bad transmission?
