On my 02 Caravan the Air bag light stays on and I have no horn....Is there a way of retrieving codes other than with a Dodge code reader.....Everybody I talked too said it was a clockspring issue...I changed it and I still have the light on ???

 

Everybody says ........aint a proper diagnostic...my god cmon....even if it makes sense.......... retreive the codes....test the part or the electrical circuit 1st.....then replace part and clear codes....

 

I didn't say I was blaming anybody for my mistake,now if you go back and read I am looking for some way to have my codes read. Other than the dealership...Thank you very much !!!! If you can answer that part of the question ,it would be very helpful ! Peace out Martyman VR6

watch how many times the light blinks then there will be a short pause then a couple more blinks then a long pause this will give you your code then google that code. ex: 2 blinks short pause 3 blinks long pause you would google code 23 for air bags. hope this helps

 

You can also retrieve P codes by turning the key on the sequence of off-acc-off-acc-off-acc. Watch the odometer and it will start listing codes.

 

could you have 2 issues horn and srs and ASSUMED tthe point in common is problem?

Without the SRS code* ....lets seperate issues work the horn - check the relay-wiring and the ground side of relay- this will ck the ground thru closkspring...

Might need the SRS code but the ck mentioned is easy free

 

u know i had same problem on my 99 grand caravan,replaced clockspring,still had abs light on,turned out that someone pulled the fuse ,put in a fuse and i will be damned the light went off.
