Dodge Caravan Odd Noise When Turning
I have a 2007 Grand Caravan with 4 wheel disk brakes. (Do they all have that?) I have been presented with a weird symptom. When turning right only, I get a howling/groaning noise coming from the right side. Not quite a rubbing noise, but almost. Being they're on the same side, that eliminated struts/shocks for me. I'm nearly certain it's coming from the wheel area and since it's only when I turn, I'm fairly sure it's the front. It only seems to occur when the wheel is turned to a specific area, say within an eight of a wheel turn. Any more or less turn and it seems to go away. It also only seems to go at a specific speed; around the speed you would go when turning right in a residential area. I speed up a bit and it appears to go away and if I slow down too much it seems to go away. Any thoughts or possible directions anyone can think of? I know for sure it's not a clicking (cv joints, et al). It's quite odd. Thanks in advance!
The van should be under warranty. If so,take the van to a dealer and let them fix it.The noise should be easy to find since it seems to appear on command. If you want to look for the problem yourself, start by searching for fresh "rub" marks on the underside of the vehicle.
