help me through my nightmare
i use nuthing but dextron to and aint never had no probs. i read some tsbs on this and its all bla-bla-bla reduce conv shutter, more lube, bla-bla-bla. pritty much all trans fluid does this anyway. i agre that if the mopar stuff was all grate like everone thinks then y is they still braking?
i have the exact same problem. not similar... i mean EXACTLY the same... couldn't describe it as well as u did... 1997 plymouth voyager (caravan) 3.3L motor...
family of 5 also...
this is the one description i have read that sounds the SAME
I hope this helps u...
i think maybe the fluid is low because you may have a leak....
i didn't get to check the cooler lines, but the van goes when it's warm i think because it gets low under pressure...
on an incline, stop sign, around a corner it will happen, right?
when it's cold sometimes it won't go... seems like it's in neutral but it isn't...revs until u hit about 3000 rpm then thunks into gear...
the reason i say leak is because i noticed in neutral it will say it's lower on fluid.. i noticed some fluid on my pan, then a closer inspection under the front showed that just above the pan the solenoid was leaking!
the weather and co$t is keeping me from tinkering
i'm no master mechanic, but i love my vans and i'll drive them til they turn to dust!!!!
anyone who doesn't own one will tell u your tranny is junk but they are mistaken.
i have 2... 1998 caravan 160K, 1997 voyager 101K
i swear the problem is the same
good luck !!!
let me know what happens(ed)
