A/C won't start AT ALL
i bought my 96 dodge grand caravan in march of this year @180,xxx miles,
everything was fine on it. my brother in law borrowed it to go to LA, and when it came back, the A/C no longer worked.
i read dodge caravan 101, but it didn't help me much.
i tested the blower motor. i worked, but when pulgged back in, no air blows.
bought a control device, didn't work.
bought a new relay, didn't work.
bought a resistor, still didn't work.
and the fuse is still perfectly fine.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CARAVAN??
summer passed with no A/C but it was alright.
winter's coming and i can't drive my caravan if i can't see out the window.
basically, if you have it on vent, SOME air blows, not a lot.
if you have it to recirculate, nothing blows in. when you press to switch the air from vent to recirculate,
you can hear it switching, but you still get nothing.
if after driving it for a LONG period of time, it MIGHT come on, if you're lucky.
i thought it was low of ref. so i refilled it with 2 cans, but still doesn't work.
anyone have any helpful ideas?
i'm so FRUSTRATED.
i love the van and i don't want to have to sell it.
