Replace starter in 2002 Grand Caravan Sport
I have determined that I need to replace the starter in my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport with the 3.3 V6. The problem is, I can't remove the old one.
I removed the lower bolt from the threaded hole in the starter, but the upper bolt has a nut on it, with what looks like 2 ground wires with eye connectors, under the nut. I removed the nut, but that just leaves the threaded bolt in the hole, and the starter won't come out.
Is this the correct bolt\nut? And if so, is it some kind of special bolt, and the nut is just there to hold the wires on? There are other bolts in the area, but I can't get to them with wrench, socket, etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
