just had the vehicle in today for its 3rd oil change on a 2004 Grand Caravan with under 8000 miles on it. I was told the right tie-rod had to be replaced. the job was under warranty. however, the told me the alignment would not be covered, and i'd have to fork over about $100 to do so. I was told the toe would be checked, and that would suffice. I had a hard time believing that, but refused to pay for an alignment. Is this sufficent or should i get an alignment done. Also if a tie-rod is defective ( or maybe someone hit a curb ) shouldn't the warranty also cover alignment? should i go in and argue this? and what happens if the tires wear unevenly? any suggestions would be appreciated.
