Both our Grand Caravans get between 20 and 22 mpg, when tuned and with fresh oil.
The 96 Turtle van always tells me when it needs an oil change because the mileage drops off.

I installed the mileage monitor I got out of a T&C in the salvage yard.
It's the best gaget ever.
The thing I like the most is when on the "Eco" setting it tells you mileage "now".
When in "Avg Eco" setting, it displays average mileage.
Wife wants one in the Gray Van too.

We recently moved east, and over 3200mi, with a FULLY loaded Turtle van towing a FULLY loaded trailer, the average mileage was still 17.8 mpg for the entire trip.
Towing up the mountains thru Utah and Wyoming, the monitor sometimes read "2 mpg" and 99 mpg on the downhills.

With AWD, your milage may be a bit lower.
And, you have the 3.8 and our vans have the 3.3.
My advice, keep the oil and filters clean, and scan it for PCM errors now and then.
Most Autozone's and NAPA's will scan your rig for free. (hoping you'll buy any needed parts from them).

autozone.com also offers DIY info that gives you most all the info you'd find in the Chilton or Haynes repair manual, for free!

Good Luck,
EZ1

I'm getting 200 miles to the tankful before the low fuel light went on, mostly local driving. 3.8 v-6 front 2wd

Just changed oil and filter

Flushed radiator, new thermostat, hoses and coolant.

You may get less due to the AWD or more depending on how you drive.

Mines an '02 but it has a 3.8.

I get about 24mpg highway. Up to 33mpg if I can choose the speed. City ends up around 16mpg but I live in Alaska so some of that is warm up gas.
