Default ABS Question

I have a 97 Grand Caravan w/abs w/o traction control. I will need to replace the master cylinder (losing fluid out the back - all over front of brake booster). In order to bleed the brakes, will I need the ODB scan tool to bleed the brakes, and if so, what tool do I need and how do I do it? Thanks for all replies

No, you'll need a DRB II, scan tool to properly bleed the system.

Be sure you blow down the power brake booster before your start replacement.
With the key to the OFF position, pump the brakes till the pedel is firm, this will prevent foreign matter from being sucked into the booster.

I'd advise you get the Chilton or Haynes repair manual (about $20), they outline the MC replacment procedure.
You can also find this info at autozone.com
Select your type vehical, and scrol down to the DIY section.

Good Luck,
