Grease to keep them dry -- Great info --

I'll bet it is the sensor with the dirty grease (cut O-ring)!!

Is it standard diaelectric grease or something special?

The new one comes with grease on it. I just use grease for the front end you'd put in your grease gun.

Yes that's the one I ordered and recieved on Friday. I haven't had time to install it yet but from the way it looks it is right.

BTY other sites had it for $50-$60 so I'm sure the dealer cost would be $75 -$100

hope it works for you,
there prices always seem to be good, providing everything you get is sent from the same location, if you get 3 items each from a different location on that site you pay 3 shipping charges, then it is not so good, I had looked at them when I did my brakes, but the parts i wanted was coming from to many locations to make it worth while

Default abs light

the abs light in my 2005 Grand Caravan stays on and there is a steady whirring type sound while I drive but no grinding when I stop. I am not sure what to do here since I took it to a place to have them test it and the guy said it's probably my brake barrings yet he did not test it. Any suggestions?

Yep, find a new shop! Hopefully you didn't have to pay for that prime diagnosis. Not shocked if you have a bad hub and bearing assembly making the noise, but would be super shocked if it had anything to do with your ABS lamp. Good chance you have a bad wheel speed sensor as well but pretty expensive to replace them all. You'll at least have to go to a shop and get the code pulled to tell which one it is or if it is a different issue all together because there are other issues besides the sensors, just not as common.

Wondering if replacing your rear abs sensor fixed the problem. Mine is intermittent... sometimes the abs light goes off but then the brake pedal is pumping back toward me when depressed.

Makes me think the abs pump is going out. This has been going on for a long time. I'm too cheap to visit the dealer to have the code read, but I don't want to just start replacing parts until the problem goes away.

Thoughts?

You have to get the code pulled. Have no idea where to go until we have a clue what the problem is.
