Default Update on programming 09 remote

Well, after ordering three remotes from ebay and having none of them work...I discovered 09s and 10s require new remotes and dealer programming. (Valet keys sold separately.)

I ordered a brand new key off internet for $39.00. It still cost $28 for the programming and $27 for the new valet key....and $1.73 administration charge. I think they threw that last one in because I didn't buy the remote from them. I bought my keyless entry remote from Jakesbargins. Yep...that is the way it is spelled.

Still much cheaper than the dealers quoted price of $150 just for the remote.

I have two 08 remotes and 1 supposedly 08 through 10.

I have read instructions they can be re-programmed before 09 but who knows?

If you need them let me know.

Jim

Thanks. Did you use a new unprogrammed key or was it used? I was told by the technician that after a remote unit had been programmed it could not be used on 09 or 10.
