MY 05 G.CARAVAN SXT HAS THE BLUE TOOTH/UCONNECT OPTION........WAS WORKING FOR THE PAST 5YRS FINE, NEVER USED IT BECAUSE OUR CEL DIDNT HAVE B.TOOTH......NOW THE LAW SAYS WE CANT TALK WHILE DRIVING AND SO I HAVE TO USE UCONNECT HANDS FREE NOW....OK. ....WORKED FOR ABOUT 1 WEEK THEN WAS INTERMITANT AND THEN STOPPED COMPLETELY....BUT AT TIMES YOU CAN PRESS THE UCONNECT BUTTON AND THE RADIO CUTS OUT FOR ABOUT 2 SEC'S THEN COMES BACK ON AND THIS HAPPENS ABOUT 3 TIMES THEN IT BLOCKS THE RADIO ALL TOGETHER AND NOTHING WILL WORK TILL I RESTART THE VAN, THEN IF I PRESS UCONNECT AGAIN RADIO SHUTS OFF THEN USALLY YOU WOULD HEAR THE LADY SAY "UCONNECT" BUT AGAIN THERES NOTHING JUST SILENCE FOR 3 SEC'S....AND THE SAME THING ALL OVER AGAIN.......I JERKED AROUND PULLING FUSES AND THE PLUGS FROM THE BACK OF THE REAR VIEW MIRROR AND AT THE CONTROL UNIT ON THE FLOOR IN THEN CENTER CONSOLE UNDER THE CUPHOLDER AREA. NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT?? I THINK THE PROBLEM IS THE UNIT...BUT ITS $588....I DONT WANT TO GUESS AND I HAVE HAD NO LUCK ON USED BECAUSE OF THE EXACT MATCH UP I HAVE TO FIND......DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY HELP!!

ok couple things to do,

first turn off caps and relax.

what phone you using? i try to search but there was a approved phone list. second let me know everything listed except serial #. in menu under system info, like gracenotes. that may need to be updated. This is a RER UNIT? you might just need to update the unit. what you discribed has happened to me but not that severe. what i did was delete all paired phones and redone the pairing of the phone again.

 

OK, caps off. !! sorry about that. were do i find the approved phone list? never heard of that...and what are gracenotes. Were talking about the rear view mirror uconnect if that is what you mean....I will try and reconnect the phone again..
