1997 Dodge Caravan 2.4L
Ok I got a few short concerns and problems i can't figure out. My 97 is a complete dog, for 150 horse my 0-60 is like in 25-30 seconds. It has no power, and don't know why. It has a slight miss in the mid rpm range. changed plugs and wires and still does it. Another would be, I have ran out of gas several times just as the fuel light dings on. Is there a way to reset the float on the fuel sending unit and what would you recommend on restoring lost power. Even though I have never experienced it. I have a 97 Grand Voyager with the 3.3L in it, even thought there isn't a much higher horse difference, that van would run circles around my Caravan. Thank you, any help would be appreciated!
Plugged catalytic convertor? If the gauge is still reading fuel in the tank when you run out, you need a new fuel pump module. The sending unit plugs into one side of the pump and the vehicle harness plugs into the other side of the pump. the addapter that is part of the pump gets corroded and develops high resistance causing the gauge to read inacurate.
