P0442 - Small Evap Leak
FYI. To those who have gotten or will get, the dreaded P0442 - Small Evap Leak code. Here's what I replaced to fix mine.
Take a look at this picture: http://www.moparonlineparts.com/sche.../T/TE01335.gif
Here's what each numbered item cross references to:
1) Egr valve
2) Egr tube
3) Egr tube Bolt
4) Harness Egr supply
5) Vapor canister Front
6) Vapor canister Rear
7) Bracket Front canister
8) Bracket Rear canister
9) Grommet Front canister
10) Grommet Rear canister
11) Vent valve
12) Hose To vent valve
13) Hose Frnt pmp to rr pmp
14) Hose Purge
15) Hose Load
16) Leak detect pump
17) Air filter
18) Purge valve
19) Vacuum harness
20) Ft oxygen sensor
21) Rr oxygen sensor
About right under the drivers seat, there is a canister(#6 in the image above). 2 of the hoses leading to the canister had cracks (dry rot I'm assuming). The hoses I replaced were #14 and #15. They cost about $13 total at the dealer. So far, no P0442 code.
By the way, my vehicle is a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport 3.8L.
Hope this helps someone!
