HVAC wires melting when plugged in.
Friend of mine has a 98 plymouth voyager with a few issues. The insturment cluster goes out when it wants to. I've done some searching and found a few threads about the ground wire on the circuit board.
The issue i can't find any info on is the Plug that connects into the back of the HVAC controls is burnt, we were driving down the road and you could smell the wires melting so we unplugged it and havent had a problem since. I don't know if this has to do with the circuit board on the cluster or if its a seperate problem. I was hoping someone here has dealt with this issue and can shed some light on the situation seems how the dealership has no clue what it would be.
Thanks in advance.
