Would replacing instrument cluster fix my problems?

I just replaced the fuel pump and the fuel gauge moved to full when I filled the tank, then a few hours later it started to drop to empty, could the dash cluster be bad? This is on a dodge 02 caravan. All the other gauges work, (The gauge was acting up and thats why the new fuel pump was installed.

Hi there, Guess you have the same problems I do, this morning I went out to Johns auto parts and bought a cluster unit for 45 dollars, it came out of a 02 caravan, went to my car and plugged it in, didn't solve the problem, tried another one figuring it was bad being from a used van, that didn't do it either,
So my gas gauge still doesn't move, but all else works. I did do the reset a couple of times but no luck, ( you can try the reset feature, by putting your key in ignition, don't turn it on!,, hold in the odometer reset button until the lites start flashing on the odometer screen, then let go and watch it do its
re-programing,,,
Good Luck.

So my last guess is that the new fuel pump I installed the other day may have a defective sending unit, and it does make a loud noise when running...
