scenario - kid messing with door lock - keeps pulling up and down.

Now right side rear sliding door ( unpowered ) does not activate open or closed when central locking button pressed. Easy fix or dealer job?

Good possiblity you need to replace the lock actuator that is mounted to the door latch. Not to hard to do and the part is probably under $50.
