Default 97 T+C has a really bad vibration only at a stop and in drive.

as the title says, the van vibrates pretty bad when stopped and in drive. take it out of gear, put it in reverse, or start moving and it goes away completely. happened suddenly early today (it's 10* outside, but everything was up to operating temp) after backing up 10 ft, then pulling forward a couple. We've put 210k miles on the ol' girl since my father purchased her in 97 and I have no intention of giving her up. but I'm broke and might be willing to live with it if it's not getting worse (meaning a lot of shifting into neutral coming up to red lights). Thoughts?
thanks,

Motor mount? Have some one watch the engine while you shift gears from park to drive and drive to reverse.

that's what I was thinking. finally got a helper today to try and, while it does move more than I think it should, the mounts seem to be intact and I couldn't find any obvious contact anywhere in the engine bay. tomorrow I hope to get it on the ramps and check underneath.

well, it fixed itself. heard a thump noise from underneath this morning and it hasn't done it since. I hate it when that happens. now how am I supposed to prevent it from happening again? grrr...
