hi. have 06 grand caravan
want to remove oil pan. there is what looks like a tranny brace, 4 bolts holding it. Does engine need to be hoisted when removing brace. i don't have one.
two of the pan bolts are slightly seen under lip of what looks like a cover plate for conver. do i have to remove the plate to get access to these two bolts?
thanks ahead of time for any help!

thanks for responding. this appears to be for a different caravan.. my haynes book 06 caravan book doesn't show hoisting engine is needed. see pg 2b12 if you have the book.
i was wondering if someone did this could show a short to reduce the brace removal and the driveplate cover to remove those two bolts whose heads can be seen.
thanks again

IMHO, don't worry about supporting it, you've still got three mounts holding it up there. I just swapped a transmission in a '99 caravan and it's front mount was under so little load I pulled the through-bolt on the rubber mount by just lifting the engine with my hand. Don't remove the rear transmission strut tho, that's a lot of stress on those top bolts
