Wifes 05 Caravan with 3.3 and 75000 miles has been shifting roughly from 1st to 2nd. Only started few days ago. I checked fluid and it was down to the add mark, so topped it up with proper tranny fluid. Still same hard shifts, no CE lights or codes. Any suggestions before I face another garage bill??

Using an appropriate scanner, find CVI values. Install a pressure gage on the 2/4 clutch pressure port and read pressure on shift. That's what the diagnostic manual suggests. That's all I have since I don't have any mastery on this subject.

 

When's the last time u did a Trans service?
anyway, try disconnect the battery for few minute, Trans Module might just need a quick relearn. CVI value goes out of wack after a while, especially when she drives like a granny and He drives like a Maniac the other day.
