Question Another transmission interchange question

My father in law's 99 3.3L Caravan just blew the diff pin through the case and I need to find him a new transmission. I have searched the site and it looks like some options are available with the 98-2000 years with minimal trouble. I found a 2003-2004 41TE transmission with lower mileage at a fair price. Of course my question is, will this work on the 1999 Caravan?

Thanks

My research found that 99-07 is a bolt in direct fit. I found some other transmissions that would fit too with a small modification.

Thanks,

I have looked at the I/O sensors and it appears these should all be the round pin style connectors for these years, 99 & up and the solenoid connectors look the same, so I am planning on picking up the 2004 transmission and putting it in the the 99. My next question is do I have to do anything to program the transmission control module or can we just let it relearn the the father in law's driving habits?
Thanks for any and all help we can get with this. It is a long distance issue as we will pick up the transmission here in Minneapolis and have arranged a warm garage in Northern Michigan where we can swap them. If anybody has other suggestions on things I need to think about please give me a reply or email. Thanks again.

I know someone 1/2 way between the Cities and the UP that would install a trans for $600 (trans, and labor) with a warranty. All you'd need to do is bring the van6
