'96 caravan rear wiper arm removal
My rear wiper does not contact the window through 80% of the arc. It was appearantly corroded so I sprayed it with WD-40. It moves better but will still not contact the window.
I have tried removing the arm to work on it better. I have pulled the rear wiper arm away from the rear window and pulled up on the clip with needlenose pliers. The clip has slid up until there is a small hole visible above the arm. The arm is now locked in a position away from the window. The arm will not slide off the shaft. I am assuming it is frozen onto the shaft. Should the clip slide up further or does it only slide far enough to reveal the hole?

Well, if your arms pivot was so corroded that it wasn't putting pressure on the glass, you can be sure the arm is even more corroded to the post. My dad's 1999 Town and Country had that same problem and the only way we could get off the arm was destructively. I had to take a Dremel tool and sliced the arm off the motor post then replaced the arm with a brand new one. But I put Antiseze on the post so he'll never have that problem again.
I realize I may have to destroy it to get it off. I also read a post where someone was able to remove a it by drilling a hole over the end of the shaft and using a puller. My question though is how far up does the clip have to slide to release its hold on the arm?
