My inside lights don't always shutoff when the doors are closed. Sometimes I slam the door a few times before they'll shut off. It doesn't seem to be any one door but all the doors. I have seen posts about a BCM and don't know much about or how to check. Any advice. Thanks

 

A scanner is a great tool to see what circuit is causing the lights to stay on. Does the door ajar light stay on as well? My parent 1999 van has the lights stay on for about a minute before they shut off automatically.

 

What type of scanner do i need? Does the OBII scanner look at that?

 

You'd need a scanner that has the capability to read other computers. The OBDII readers only reads engine (PCM) computer.
