Default Incident, need advice.

So, last night some kids thru a rock and hit my slinder door window and took a chip out of it. I'm wondering if it's worth turning into insurance since I have $100 deductible. Being the window is factory tinted, can then do the chip fill stuff or do they need to replace the whole window? Anybody have any experiance or work in the business can tell me which can/needs to be done and approximately what this will cost? TIA

1. Then find those kids and take them to court, sue them for the cost of the window along with pain and suffering and emotional losses.

2. Call your insurance agent

3. contact a glass company in your area.

Glass companies are closed today, and I was hoping to have an answer today if it's worth calling the insurance company for it. As for the kids, they were along the road while I was driving and were gone before I went back through. The police did arrive and looked at the chip, filed a report. They did make an attempt to find them, but unfortunately unless they do it again and get caught, might never know who they are.

might be covered under comprehensive and you may not pay or become a claim to u. talk to your insurance before hand. you may not even have to pay the deductible since you have a police report for this incedent. but i think you could try those guys that fill cracks first. they could fix the original and you should not have any issues seeing the crack/chip.

OMG, you can't wait until monday to call a glass company, your insurance agent?

Besides, how can we tell the severity of the this seriousness based on your description without see it in person?
