Hi all, I have searched a bit and couldn't find an answer, and my owners manual is not helpful.

I have a 2004 Grand, with the 6 Disc DVD player.

I recently had the battery out for about 45 minutes, when I was changing it and returning the core, when I hooked it back up, the DVD player is not working.

it is flashing a code I believe, there are buttons for each disk, and a small light above each button. Three lights on one side flash, then the other three flash.

I can't eject or load anything, it's just flashing at me. every thing else in the car seems to be working fine, the radio works.

I suspect I may have activated some anti theft device, because it was off the battery so long, but the manual doesnt say anything about a reset?

Any ideas? besides taking to the dealer?

ive heard issues arize when you have the battery taken out. i been told to get one of those backups. looks like a ciggerrette lighter that you plug into the ciggerrete lighter socket. it holds everything until you can replace battery.

 

From reading, you've got a 50/50 chance of fixing it by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 2-3 minutes. Worth a shot.
