Default Trans fuild specs?
I have some trans. fuild that is Mercon V. it says it is suitable for dodge type 4. Is this the same ATF fuild? I have a 05 DCV 3.8 Thanks.

Don't use it. Use ATF+4 only. This seems to be the general concensus anyway. I've been told your tranny will blow up if anything but ATF+4 is used. Joke I'm sure

Mercon V may come close to but does not equal ATF+4. Don't use the Mercon V. Be safe, not sorry.
