What is the name of the part that fits into the center of the air cleaner housing for an 85 Caravan with 2.6 engine? The van came back from the shop on an engine rebuild and head replacement with that part missing. Now I'm getting 12 miles to the gallon, weak acceleration and top speed, failed the emissions test on carbon monoxide big time. None of these problems were in evidence before the rebuild.
The is part is, oddly, not shown in the Dodge repair manuals that I have. The manual shows the air cleaner housing itself, but not what is inside of it. I don't think it is a moving part.
The trouble-shooting section of the manual indicates that all of my problems are related to air heating.
