My 06 Caravan SXT (3.3) is having an strange starting issue.

When I turn the key to the start position, nothing happens, I can only hear a small click but the starter motor does not turn. All electrical items work properly, battery is fully charged

I tried a few times, waiing a few minutes in-between and finally it just started !

No codes are displayed nor stored. It has happened so far 3-4 times in the last week.

Any suggestions on what to check for?

 

A common issue for just about any car eventually. It's caused by worn starter solenoid contacts in the starter. When it just clicks you can tap on the starter and it should start. If the starter and battery connections are clean and tight it's nearly a sure bet a new starter will cure the problem. Verifying voltages are present at the starter would be positive proof. If you are so inclined you can change just the contacts for half the price of a new starter.

Will check it then. by the way, the 'click' is very very faint, barely noticeable.

Can't reproduce the issue at will so will need to wait until happens

It may be related but the days it has happened it was very rainy and humid...is definitely something electrical
