Default Haunted window

2002 Grand Caravan, drivers window works great for 2 to 3 days, then just stops working at all, then a couple of days later works just fine again. Doesnt seem to matter the weather, what accessories are on, can stop mid-trip, or start or stop working while has been parked. Any thoughts? Thanks, Oldslowguy

Not uncommon. The fix is usually a new window regulator assembly ($50-$120) which includes the motor. Sure wouldn't hurt to verify the switch contacts and the motor connection are good. A very temp fix is to hold the switch up or down and slam the door at the same time. It will usually come to life.

Save a bundle and go aftermarket. I've changed 7 or 8 of these all with aftermarket sources. I did have a problem with one that lasted 8 months but that's not the trend. Bought one locally and the others off the net. I used A1Auto and Rockauto for a few. Some have reported good luck with EBay. They are the cheapest source I've seen at around $25. Someone got one for $16 recently.
