rear brake shutter
I need some help with my rear brakes on my '99 dodge caravan. I had done my rear brakes 2 years go, new pads, spring kit and new drums. After I was done it appeared my drums were out of round so had them turned. Iput them back on and continued with a pulse when brakes applied. I ended up putting my old ones back on. Its been a year and the pads grab backing up and will make a bang noise. So I finally bought new drums. Pads look ok. I put them on and took for a ride and it really shutters (passenger side of vehicle) I swapped drums(drivers to passenger and passenger to drivers side) and shutter still ramains on drivers side. The hub bearing feels good. I really don't know how to resolve it. Any ideas? Its a '99 caravan, 4cylinder base model. Thank you for any ideas.

Hi , I had the same thing happen to my new van 27 years ago . The dealer couldn't find the problem . To be short it was the emergancy brake cable was to tight causing the shuttering . Make sure your peddle is up & tug on the steel cable to the brakes to dee if there is enough slack . It should be loose when off. Good luck. Bud
