Please excuse me, this is my first post..
I have a 2001 Caravan..It seems to be missing while excelerating as well as hesitating at take off. There have been a few times where it backfires but it doesn't seem to be coming out of the tail pipe.
We have replaced the battery (we were told it was bad) as well as all 6 spark plugs (which we gauged according to the owners manual).

We aren't really sure what's going on..THinking maybe the catalytic converter but aren't 100%.
Any thoughts are appreciated!

 

did you replace the plug wires as well? You probably should have if you didn't. A plugged cat will be more likely to give you no power, not really a miss. Might want to do a compression test, see if you have a bad valve.

 

this is either going to be fuel related, like tizzy states replace the wires if not done yet then I would check for any stored codes..
