Default Towing With A 4-Cyl, 2.4 Liter 2006 Caravan?

Is there any possibility of towing with this vehicle? If so, what's the max weight?

my 1998 2.4 has a reese trailer hitch, bought it at autozone for 100 bucks a long time ago. it was the only one I found with a good price that I could install myself easily and not bother the spare tire. I thought my vehicle was able to tow 2000, but an internet search should be done. anyhow, I can tell you that I towed a grand prix with two people in it UPHILL best guess 20 degrees angle. the grand prix was stalled so I was forced to tow it from a standstill about 3 years ago using that 2000 pound rated hitch. it was scary, probably not a good idea to do regularly but no damage was done to the transmission at all since then. if you have the three speed, you probably already can feel that first gear just isn't so powerful. engine power is great, but it really could use a better first gear.
