I tested the fuel pressure and it is at 62... is that normal range or is it too high

I have a 1997 caravan with the 3.3l and it is doing the same thing , it does it when i take off and at about 25-45 mph, i have tried plugs and wires, fuel filter , and have checked the tps sensor to make sure the spring works, however when the van gets above 50mph it runs fine ....... i am puzzled and seeing is how there are no idiot lights on no one has been able to give me an answer..... any help would be greatful

so my next question would be the fuel pressure is okay and on a cold start it cranks fine when the engine is warm it cranks probably twice as long to start... and the surging or bucking sensation is still there

does it hold fuel pressure when you shut it off?

thanks to all who have responded...I appreciate it. Well I am lost here. Don't know where to begin on this thing. I put in a new TPS sensor, checked the fuel pressure and it is at 62 and it holds the pressure after you shut it off. I still get the longer crank after its warmed up, still have the hesitation from a stand still, still have the surging issue at around 40-50 mph. Its like it misses. When you hold the brake and put in drive and take it to about 1200 rpm it will start to run like crap and go down to about 700 rpm and go up and down.....Does any one have any other idea or have had this issue with their 3.3 L???? mine is a 2001. I hate it when it doesn't run right. It is driving me nuts.

Looks like we're down to best guesses. Instead of that you might check with your delaership and ask if they would connect what many call a "co-pilot". All it is is a scanner that will read and record real-time data as you drive around. It will record everything going on in the engine management system as it fails. Going to cost a couple hundred but may be worth it in the long run.

Want me to guess? MAP sensor. It is a key component in determining fuel delivery.

BTW - Born and raised in Michigan City.
