Default 05 GC 3.8 spark plug replacement

Bought this one used in May; about $4k since then in mostly front end/AC/electrical parts. It has 153000 Km (95K miles) so it was time for plugs. Read all the relevant posts including the horror stories about the back plugs. I changed the front ones myself with new wires and took it to my back-yard mechanic for him to sort out the rears. 40 minutes later, he was done (including the "optional" plug, all from the top on a "hot" engine with no cowl removal. Plugs came out easily, but they were obviously original. I used NGK G-power platinums and Performa 7mm mag wires. I've had good luck with NGK plugs in other cars, so despite the thread warnings, decided on them for the GC. So far, the combination works like a charm. Total cost was CA$120. FYI.

These forums are extremely valuable, just in case any of the moderators are doubting their involvement in them and the time they take. The respect that newbies get from the experts and seasoned posters is admirable. Thank you all for the time you spend posting and responding.

2001 and newer vans are a snap to change rear plugs w/o any removal 96-2000 is a PITA, 90-95 is a little better than 96-2000. but by far, you have one of the easier vans to do this service on.
