BCM
I have a 1996 Grand Voyager with 100,000 miles on it. The speedometer stopped working so I removed it and got a new one. My question is, when I install the new speedo will it go back to 100,000 miles or the 87,000 on the new speedo? Someone told me the mileage on the speedo is saved in the BCM and the only way to reduce the mileage on the speedo was to install a BCM with less miles. So in theory if I install a new BCM with 87,000 miles on it, my odometer will automatically read 87,000...is this correct?<edited><editID>Shogunn</editID><editDate>37906.133599537</editDate></edited>
<FONT face="Times New Roman, Times, serif" color=green size=2>Sorry it's not going back. You are right. When a DRB III is hooked up you will be able to read actual milage. At this many miles it won't matter either way unless just for peice of mind. You are already out of warranty and in many states less Florida you wouldn't need an actual milage for the Truth In Odometer Statement if you were to sell it. Just remember odometer or not "never drive faster than your angels can fly"<IMG style="WIDTH: 23px; HEIGHT: 17px" height=17 src=smileys/smiley1.gif width=30 border="0"></FONT></P>
