power steering pressure line

I have a 2000 caravan and I am in the process of changing the pressure line. I was able to get the return line off the rack from above no problem. Now I am trying to get the pressure line out, and its pretty well stuck. Any thoughts on how to get it out

crows foot line wrench is what I use. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...4155_200304155

or since you're replacing the line, why not cut it off and use a regular old socket?

I did cut it off with the intention of using a socket but the motor mount is to close

huh, I've never had that issue and I replaced at least a dozen over the years. maybe it's the sockets I use or adapters or positions. I do this on a hoist and never ran into that problem on this gen3 vans. maybe you can remove the transmount for more clearance.

You can also use a 18mm box end wrench too.

I have also tried some those boxed end ratcheting wrenches, but I just can't seem to get any leverage

eat your wheaties or some spinich?

IDK how to help you with a lack of strength issue, can you find a friend or neighbor with some muscle. I never had a problem getting off this line with my physical abilities. having the van on a hoist would make the job a lot easier. maybe you need to customize your wrench to make it longer and some bends to clear obstructions. With a big enough prybar you can move the world.

Lack of strength is not an issue, it is a Michigan car, maybe I will try from the bottom

finally got it, bought some extensions, cut the tube and got it from under the car. Took me a couple of tries to get it to connect to the rack before i realized that having it attached to the pump was pulling making it difficult to thread in
