where is the crankshaft position sensor located on a 2001 3.3 I am having trouble locating it... thanks to all who responds

 

all 3.3/3.8 engines have the crank sensor in the exact same location. it's on the bellhousing toward the back. if you were to stand at the left fender looking at the engine it's about at the 2:00 position. right on top of the bellhousing.

 

is it under neath the exhaust..... I take it is not one the easiest things to change

 

10mm socket and 10min. this is the easiest crank sensor I've ever worked on PLENTY of room from the exhaust

outstanding, glad I could help. Like I said these are probably the easiest crank sensors I've ever changed. the ones I really hate are GM quad 4's/twin cam and 2.3 ford dual plugs... uhg.
