The Patient: 04 caravan sxt v6 3.3L
Corroded battery terminals caused me to cut and replace both terminals (yes I was lazy and now am paying the price) with a splice kit.

I have one for the negative and the positive.

Now I'm having problems starting randomly. I had the battery tested, it passes.
replaced the starter, still the same problem. checked all wires/fuses, everything looks good.
I can say one thing I did have to do for the positive wire was cut some of the actual gold wires in order to get them to fit into the hole for the wire. Do you think this may be causing some of this?
Side note, took the felt pads off the terminals and it wants to start.....

Cutting the cable decreased the current carrying capacity of the cable at that point, creating an area of higher resistance. Not good. Try a voltage drop test between your battery and starter to test your spliced cables.
