That's pretty respectable and I'd be more than happy with that. However, I believe that the 2011+ models have a completely different (more advanced) engine. It's substantially more powerful, smaller displacement (vs my 3.8L), and gets better fuel economy. I wish I had your motor!

I've kept track of my '10 4.0L and the worse I recorded was 15mpg and the best was just shy of 23mpg (taken during trip to in-laws across the state for Christmas when I only had it a month so expecting better after it breaks in.) My overall average is just shy of 17mpg. IIRC when I was researching to buy, the 3.8L got about 1-2mpg worse (older engine design than the 4.0L?)

This is mainly city driving, with only about 35 miles of highway use (70MPH). The rest is suburban city driving. That 13.8MPG is a far cry from the sticker estimate of 17MPG city.
Are you actually doing the math when you fill up, or are you just going by the overhead comp?

Just going by the on-board computer. Next tank of gas will see a manual calculation. The scary thing is that, in my experience with other brands, the on-board estimate is usually HIGHER than manual calculations!
