Low Fuel Light keeps blinking, want to just disconnect it
I have a Dodge Caravan '98 and the low fuel light constantly blinks and bings even though the tank is full. I know that it can be fixed by replacing the fuel module but that is too expensive. I would just like to disconnect the light, because I really don't need it.
Can anyone tell me how to do that?
Thanks

I'll second the tape. The low fuel light/gauge doesn't have it's own connector. The circuit runs through the lone connector for the entire instrument cluster via the CCD data bus. The chime is in the BCM. No fuse or circuit breaker to pull that will effect the light and ding only.
A real long shot but try pulling the IOD fuse in the underhood fuse box for 2-3 minutes. This will reset the BCM and data bus. If you're willing to live without knowing your fuel level you could cut the dark blue wire from the fuel sender to the BCM.

The light doesnt bother me as much as the binging. I actually wouldn't mind if the light just kept going off but the constant binging is very annoying. So besides electrical tape, do you have any idea how I can stop the binging? Do you know where the sound comes from? maybe I can cover that up?
Thanks but I don't know much about the mechanics and such, so pulling the fuse out might be a long shot for me to try. but would you happen to know where the sound of the binging comes from? i was thinking maybe I could just cover it up.
if you look up from the Brake pedal, it is to the left side of the brake pedal, you will see find a box with bunch of fuse and relay on it, that's the BCM.
