Replacing rear brake lines on a 98 FWD Caravan, have some questions
I'm replacing the rear brake lines on a family member's 1998 Grand Caravan FWD(3.0 V6). I have the fuel tank down and the old lines removed in between the proportioning valve and the hydraulic rubber lines. I was curious what size the fittings on both ends were as well as what size of line to use. I bought some 3/16" line and was unable to find new fittings for both sides of the lines that would fit, which got me wondering if the line was possibly the wrong size. Oh yeah, I may be incorrect but I believe this van doesn't have rear ABS. It has the height sensing actuator attached to the leaf spring.
I would greatly appreciate any help!

I found that I am correct with the brake line(3/16) and a regular 3/16" fitting(with a double inverted flare) fits in one side of the proportioning valve, but it won't fit the other side. I haven't checked the hydraulic rubber line side since I won't have them until tomorrow morning. Any help would be great so I don't buy the wrong fittings! Thanks!
Nevermind, I found the correct size brake line fittings for the rear components. Hope these help someone else someday!
3/16" brake line
3/8 x 24 (3/16" line) inverted flare fittings
7/16 x 24 (3/16" line) inverted flare fittings
3/16" brake line
3/8 x 24 (3/16" line) inverted flare fittings
7/16 x 24 (3/16" line) inverted flare fittings
Thanks for the fitting and line size info, cabech984. I'm about to drop the tank on my 96 Caravan to replace the two lines running above it - one of which is leaking and the other of which looks like it could go any moment.
