2012 grand caravan sxt.
Does anyone know if you forget to turn off your headlights switch will they go off automatically on the 2012 models? The new book doesn't say anything about it. Just talks about the on with wipers option. The 2008 models did. If they do automatically shut off. How long does it take after the car is shut off? I left mine on for like 2 minutes and it never shut off.

They should turn after 5 minutes i think.

 

If my memory serves me right, I believe there isn't a 'time' for the lights to shut off, rather the lights will turn off when the computer's battery saver determines that the battery capacity is getting low. This feature ensures that you will not drain the battery, thus allowing you to start the vehicle.

 

The TIPM provides a battery saver (load shedding) feature for the headlamps, which will turn these lamps OFF if they are left ON for more than about eight minutes after the electronic ignition switch status messages from the WIN transition to LOCK
