Hi

I have warnings that the gas latch and tail gate are both open, however, they are both firmly secured, the gas one is not a major issue but the interior lights wont go off because of the tail gate issue, so its a PIA to drive at night. I have had no other issues.

Is there anyway replace teh sensors that are obviously giving me false messages or at least disable the interior lights so I can drive safely at night?

I'm not aware of a gas latch lamp. Where is it and what does it look like? The interior lamps can be turned off but it does dim the dash to minimum lighting.
