[5th Gen : 08+]: winter tires for 2012 GC Crew
Folks with the larger brakes and 17" factory wheels can't run 16" wheels. The running change to big brakes was made a while ago. I hope everyone realizes that.
Folks who have factory 16" wheels on their vehicle have the smaller brake system that was used since 2008. Tirerack indeed has that 7 year old brake configuration ironed out wrt steel wheel fitment.
"The Wheel-Source, Inc" supplies 17" wheels that fit over the larger brakes. The part number is X-66023, and their website states that they:"Meets all DOT (USA) & TUV (European) standards". According to one person that purchased a set (from www.tirerack.com) the rims fit his 2013 Town & Country perfectly, he also noted that the wheels are made in China, no surprise there.
Their website (www.wheel-source.com) list the wheel as "Multi-Application" rather than "Hub-Centric" but the hub diameter is the same (71.5mm) as the OEM steel wheels which would make it "Hub-Centric" in this application.
I'm not sure but it appears that "The Wheel-Source, Inc" sells only to suppliers, so you will need to see if your local Tire store can order a set or you can order them from Tirerack.com

[QUOTE=thevalleyboy;2892192]I bought 16" steel rims/tires from Tire Rack for my 2012 SXT which had the stock 16" rims, they are fine, installed and clears everything[/QUOTE
Saw your post..I just picked up a used 2013 ext model that has the 16 Al wheels...I want to pickup a set of steel wheels and put snows on them...then I read about the tire sensors..is that a problem not having them? Thanks in adavance for a response

There are a couple other threads discussing the option of running wheels without TPMS sensors installed and what symptoms you will experience wrt dash trouble message alarms, chimes etc.
