2011 Heater issue?
and make sure there are no coolant leak, and check if your Radiator cap holding pressure.
Also, How cold is the Ambient temp in ur area? If you live in a place with -10 degree, it is normal for poor heat at idle. The Outside air might be just too cold.
I am having the same issue as mcgusto is with the intermittent no heat issue on my 12 caravan. It will happen that either the passenger or the
driver side will do this. I have to shut the heat and fans off and once I had to shut the van down and restart before it corrected itself.
Dealer has scanned computer no fault found.
Hopefully they come up with a fix.

Solution to Heat problem.....The Control Head needs to be re-designed as it is the problem child in the situation and apparently Chrysler is working on it. It can take up to 6 months before the part is made AND it is up to the client to call the dealership to see when the part is ready for install!!!!!
Had the same issue with our 2012 dodge caravan. Cold air blowing out of the driver side vent. Used the tip of turning all controls on then off again. This worked some times. Worked with dealership and manufacture without a fix. Chrysler ended up buying back our 2012, but we had to buy another 2014 Chrysler vehicle. The only 2 van choices are the Town and Country or another Grand Caravan. Since we did not want to pay additional out of pocket we had to get another Grand Caravan with less features, but was willing to do this for heat. One week since we got the new 2014 Grand Caravan SXT and it happened again. No heat on drivers side. Hoping Chrysler figures this out soon. It has been a long cold winter.
Mine does this as well. When cycling the **** from hot to cold doesn't work, I pull over and then shut down and re-start. That has always solved it with the exception of my rear vents. They got stuck on cold and the dealer had to replace some vent switch or baffle or something to get the rear to work again.
I'm sorry to hear about your concern. Have you recently been in touch with your dealer? If not, I would recommend contacting service dept. and speaking with the Service Manager to discuss your symptoms.
When I had my issues I was told it was a software issue not a part issue. I took the company to Arbitration and they had to buy back my Dodge Van. Purchased brand new and problems started happening when it was 6 months old!
